Main Street Bread is something Erika, my mom (Kari), my Grandparents (Betty and Dale) and I have built together from the ground up. I came to sourdough bread after years of baking with my Grandma as a kid. Chocolate chip cookies, carrot cakes, butter tarts and pies were just a few of the things we enjoyed making regularly. I spent years learning from my her in the kitchen and eventually I became interested in sourdough bread and traditional baking. There was (and still is) a lot of trial and error: burnt loaves, over-proofed loaves...but over time the process became something I cared deeply about—something worth doing every day and doing well. Erika, our girls and my family have been part of Main Street Bread from the beginning. They encouraged those early bakes, shared ideas, provided feedback and helped shape what this bakery has become.
